HBO è la casa delle migliori serie tv! Ora è arrivata anche la netta sottolineatura dell'Academy of Television Arts & Sciences ai 67esimi Primetime Emmy Awards, celebrati questa notte a Los Angeles.

La rete via cavo ha vinto l'Emmy per la migliore serie drammatica, Il Trono di Spade; per la migliore comedy, Veep; per la migliore miniserie, Olive Kitteridge; e per il miglior film tv, Bessie. E questo è solo l'inizio. Tra tutti i premi consegnati durante la serata, 14 sono andati a HBO, più di tutti gli altri network messi insieme.

Sono state 43, invece, le statuette vinte complessivamente dalla rete quest'anno: un abisso dal network arrivato secondo, NBC (12), e vicinissimo al record di CBS nel 1947 (44). Il Trono di Spade, che ha rovinato a Mad Men la festa dell'ultimo anno (ma Jon Hamm ha vinto finalmente il suo meritato Emmy dopo otto nomination consecutive), è stato il trionfatore assoluto dell'edizione 2015: oltre all'Emmy come miglior drama, ha vinto per la migliore sceneggiatura e per la migliore regia - quella di David Nutter per il colossale ultimo episodio della quinta stagione. E Peter Dinklage nuovamente come migliore attore non protagonista.

E se non capita tutti i giorni di vedere una serie fantasy sul palcoscenico degli Emmy, tanto meno un adattamento, la vittoria de Il Trono di Spade non è stata l'unico pezzo di storia della tv scritto questa notte - con 12 statuette in una sola edizione la serie ha battuto il precedente record di West Wing. La star de Le regole del delitto perfetto Viola Davis è la prima attrice di colore a vincere l'Emmy per un ruolo in una serie drammatica.

"Questo è per gli sceneggiatori, le persone fantastiche - [il presidente di Disney/ABC Television Group] Ben Sherwood, [il presidente di ABC] Paul Lee, [il creatore di HTGAWM] Pete Nowalk, [la produttrice esecutiva] Shonda Rhimes - che ridefiniscono cosa significa essere belli, sexy, essere una prima donna, essere neri", ha detto l'attrice commossa durante il suo discorso.

"L'unica cosa che separa le donne di colore da tutto il resto è l'opportunità. Non si può vincere un Emmy per ruoli che semplicemente non ci sono". E Davis non è stata l'unica attrice di colore a portare a casa l'ambito premio. Uzo Aduba si è ripetuta con Orange Is the New Black, mentre Regina King ha vinto come migliore attrice non protagonista in una miniserie o film tv per il suo ruolo di American Crime.

Prima di lasciarvi alla lista di tutti i premiati, evidenziamo anche la quarta vittoria consecutiva di Julia Louis-Dreyfus per il ruolo della Presidente Selina Meyer in Veep. La sua serie ha vinto invece per la prima volta l'Emmy come miglior comedy, strappando a Modern Family un primato che durava dal 2010.

Un dramma si è consumato nel backstage quando, dopo aver ritirato il premio, il co-ideatore Armando Ianucci, che di recente ha lasciato la serie, ha dichiarato che l'Emmy non lo farà tornare sui suoi passi: "Come le tenniste italiane, che escono di scena non appena vincono l'Open, penso che questa sia la strada giusta da seguire... Ogni show può beneficiare di nuove energie, nuovi nomi e nuove idee, e quale momento migliore di questo per farlo? Penso che andrà bene".

L'Academy ha poi incensato l'uragano Amy Schumer, premiando il suo show Inside Amy Schumer nelle categorie riservate ai varietà, mentre Jeffrey Tambor ha affiancato il Golden Globe con un Emmy per il ruolo di una transessuale nella comedy di Amazon Transparent.
